Frodo
Frodo was one of two kittens in a litter of four who was not very tame as they weren’t really handled and worked with until they were about 10 weeks old. Even after being worked with, he and Freda (still available) didn’t really tame up much. A nice lady agreed to adopt Frodo and work with him. She didn’t mind if he stayed skittish. After about a week, he was getting along with most of the other house cats and his new mom woke up to him snuggled against her. After two weeks he was adjusting to being petted. Einstein has become his buddy and the two are frequently together. He can still be a little skittish at times, but has adjusted well to his new life.
Clara
Miss Clara curled up in my arms to sleep. I tried to keep her separated but she kept crying and scratching at the door to come out after I brought her home. Last night I was watching a movie late and Clara practically told me, "its time to sleep," so I went to get bed. She fell asleep with me and I woke up with her next to me. Evey, my one year old cat is unfazed by Clara and wants to give her nose kisses and say hello. Clara does not know what to think of Evey because the others hiss at her. The picture is from after running a bath. I came back and this is how I found her. She was used to playing in the foster mom's garden tub with kittens but not used to water being in there. She's done very well in her new home.
Jackson
One of our fosters (not his original foster) adopted Jackson. Here's what she said: Jackson was an immediate presence in my household, he was notorious for putting unsuspecting cats in his signature head-lock move. Some cats liked it, others did not. He fast became friends with my youngest foster, Mini-mi (adopted). The two of them would wrestle and run around the house at literally all hours of the night and thus he has been dubbed "Action Jackson". When I first adopted him, he hated to be held, he would duck down if my hand approached his head and he was not a lap cat. Now, Jax lets me pet his head without reserve. I can hold him like a baby. He sits on my lap to snooze and he sleeps either in the crux of my legs or on top of me every night. He is the sweetest most unique cat I have ever met and I am filled with joy (mostly) each morning when he wakes me with a fuzzy paw tap to the face to gently remind me that it is time to start a new day.
Tippy
Hi I'm Tippy, I was at PetSmart numerous times and I went home with someone once before and then they had to bring me back when they moved and I went back to my nice foster home. My forever mom kept coming back to the store to see me --- she thought I had the prettiest face. She just couldn't resist me and took me home. I love my new mommy and greet her at the door when she comes home. Thank you PAWS for taking good care of me and helping me find my mommy.
Naomi TS
Just a note to say all remains well with our girl Naomi. We continue to enjoy discovering the dimensions of her wonderful personality. She has become more playful, frisky and talkative--she's quite a jumper too. She loves to play in the sheets when we are trying to make the bed. She has her cache of toys --her favorite, go figure, is a 10-inch or so canvas cushion seat tie. She loves to stalk it, particularly at bedtime. So, now we have a routine that probably spins her up at night when Mom and Dad are ready to wind down but it is nonetheless fun. She pounces on it then runs to a far corner of the bedroom and watches it, then runs at full tilt, jumps onto the bed and attacks again. What a clown she can be. Of course, Naomi has the pillow throne between us on the bed when we go to sleep at night. She is still the upstairs girl and she and Ivy (the 19-yo) blend well. Plenty of room to roam. Rest assured, she is happy and settled into a good routine in our home. All the best! ~Britta
