Harold

I thought I'd update you on Harold. He spent a day and a half under our couch, and I stayed up almost all night that first night, taking to him and reassuring him. He would venture out very briefly, and then dart under the couch again. The next day, my wife and I were both talking to him, telling him how much we loved him, and that we will always take care of him. Suddenly, it was like a light switch flipped on in his head, and he came completely out from under the couch, and began rubbing up against us. He slept with us that night in our bed, and many nights after that. He knows now that we belong to him as much as he belongs to us. I want to thank you so much for rescuing him, and all the other kitties. Who knows what would have happened to him if you hadn't been there. We will be forever grateful for what you do. ~Steve & Ruth

Omar

Omar was adopted by an elderly woman who lives two buildings down from his foster. She had noticed him when he was outside, and wondered what had happened to him. She was looking for a companion, and was worried about not seeing him for a while. She got to know his foster and to see what he was like after being reintroduced to a household. He is totally spoiled and loving being the only one who gets all the attention lavished on him. While he liked playing with his buddy Toby James who was adopted by someone else, it's good to be king. He has his new mom wrapped around his little paw, and his foster gets to visit him when she wants to.

Madison - SD

Just a quick note to let you know that Gizmo (one of Madison aka Maddie's biological siblings fostered by another rescue group) and Maddie are both doing great. Maddie is the "diva". She is quite vocal and so funny - she complains anytime she is not happy - even when she has an itch that she has to scratch! She loves sitting on my lap when I watch TV. She is acclimating to the other animals. With the other kitties, her personal space has shrunk from about a 6 foot radius to a 1 foot radius. The other kitties are trying to play with her. She does love to play fetch with anything that I throw for her. Yesterday was the first day that all three cats came to their dishes at the same time...a major success! They were all playing in the paper from me unwrapping dishes but they move so fast that Maddie was the only one I got a good shot at. Anyway, they are both "home" in a place where they are loved and appreciated. I just can't believe that these girls weren't adopted earlier - a good thing for me. ~Dawn

Toby James

Toby's nickname by his foster's friends was puppy kitty. He loved attention from everyone, and would follow you around like a dog. His new home had four college guys, and he gets along great with anyone who comes to visit. Here's an update from his new owner: I must say this cat is one cool cat. He is awesome. Everyone loves him! He likes my room and likes sleeping in my bathroom for some reason. He doesn’t scratch anything, and is very good with not waking me up at night. I try to exercise him a little bit at night as he likes to chase his leash. He's been great.

Hannah N

A kitten from another group and Hannah were adopted at the same time. It took about 2 weeks for the two kittens to become buddies. Luckily Hannah (our kitten) was very easy going and was very patient waiting for the other kitten to accept her. Now they are doing great. The kitties are very happy, playful, cuddly, and growing fast! ~ Briana :)
