Description:
This little boy and his siblings have had a difficult time. They were born to a mom cat in the county shelter and PAWS rescued them and put them in a foster home.
Mom cat's milk dried up when she came down with an upper respiratory infection. Soon the kittens became sick and the infection settled in their eyes. Despite medication both orally and eye ointments, the infection caused major adhesions in both of his eyes. The vet ophthalmologist believes that he may be able to see shadows at this time.
Stevie knows where the food and litter box are and never misses. He can also play with toys and his siblings with no problems. In fact, watching him play, you would never know that he has any handicap!
When Stevie is older and bigger, the ophthalmologist could remove the adhesions. Once this is done Stevie will have more sight in both eyes. To do this, PAWS definitely needs donations!!!
Stevie's eye surgery will cost an estimated $800! Please help restore this little guy's vision, by donating to PAWS for him. Any amount that you could give would be greatly appreciated. Just click on the "sponsor this pet" link under his picture.
