Description: Margo and her siblings (Marcus, Monty, Maria, Macy, Manda, and Marlie) were born to momcat Moxy. Momcat tested positive for FIV ... the good news is 99% of kittens will test negative for this at 6 months. And, even if they stay positive it's not a big deal (you can read the articles on our website here under FIV Demystified menu).
Margo has 4 sisters who are brown tabby markings! Margo has no white on her, the other tabby girls all have white. That is how we tell her apart from the others.
The kittens are doing great but 7 kittens is A LOT of kittens for one teeny tiny momcat. We might have to supplement feed, so we are monitoring closely by weighing and journaling how much each kitten weighs every day. We will continue to post pictures as they grow. The kittens can be re-tested at any veterinarian by their adoptive families at age 6+ months. It is always a good idea to know if the kitty has FIV or not.
PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).
Here is why -- this is the best article we have found to explain: http://meowcatrescue.org/resources/articles/12/single-kitten-syndrome/
