Marlie and her siblings (Marcus, Monty, Maria, Macy, Manda, and Margo) were born to momcat Moxy. Momcat tested positive for FIV ... the good news is 99% of kittens will test negative for this at 6 months. And, even if they stay positive it's not a big deal (you can read the articles on our website here under FIV Demystified menu).
Marlie has 4 sisters who are brown tabby markings! Marlie has the some white on her face in addition to having tuxedo markings. That is how we tell her apart from the others.
The kittens are doing great but 7 kittens is A LOT of kittens for one teeny tiny momcat. We might have to supplement feed, so we are monitoring closely by weighing and journaling how much each kitten weighs every day. We will continue to post pictures as they grow. The kittens can be re-tested at any veterinarian by their adoptive families at age 6+ months. It is always a good idea to know if the kitty has FIV or not.
PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).
