Description:
Moxy had babies at 7 months old! .... and.... 7 babies! She is an awesome mom, these kittens are fat and healthy. We took Moxy and her babies from the Humane Society because Moxy tested postive for FIV (which is not a big deal but the HS has outdated policies). If they didn't find a rescue the mom and her babies would have been put to sleep :(
All her babies have homes waiting. Now it's Moxy's turn. She is loving and sweet to her humans. Since she is very protective as a momcat, we are unable to determine if she will get along with other cats and/or dogs until she weans and her hormones settle down.
Her FIV is NOT a big deal. Read the "FIV Demystified" section on our website. Google it. The only time it's a big deal is if the animal is unhealthy, unfixed and fights other cats (like a tomcat). That's when it can spread (and it's really really hard to spread because oxygen kills the virus immediately). It takes a bite directly to the vein to spread. It does not spread via food/water/litterpan (the oxygen thing again). FIV's and negatives co-exist just fine in many homes.
