Description:
Basil and his sister Olivia (adopted) were found crying at a gas station with two other adult cats during the early evening on October 14. Evidently someone wanted to "clean up" their neighborhood, so took four strays and dumped them at a Cocoa gas station. Luckily there are several cat rescuers who live right nearby and saw the cats and heard the kittens crying in the dark.
Three of the four were captured that night, and the fourth one (Basil) the following day. One adult which was microchipped and had a collar was returned to her family. They were overjoyed because she had got out of their house by mistake and they couldn't find her.
A second adult had no microchip but was extremely sweet and we had her vetted and she was adopted within the week!
Olivia and her brother Basil were the two kittens who were so scared in the woods. We called on our foster mom to work with them and they are awesome!
That foster mom had to travel for work, so we moved them to another foster home where they can run around with other kittens and play with the dog. Olivia has been adopted, so Basil is looking for his new home. He is great being picked up and loves to lay in your lap while you watch TV or read.
