Kate must be adopted with her companion, Allie MM - Persian (adopted).
Description:

This beautiful girl was at the county shelter, on death row, and we got a foster home for her (yayy) so we pulled her.

She is 10 years old and her owner could no longer afford to keep this beautiful tortie Persian. (the owner also gave up the seal point Persian named Allie.)

Kate was in the ISOLATION room at the county shelter and had been sneezing, so has been medicated and her recovery took longer due to her age, per the vet.

We had to shave her back due to a big mat of fur, you can see it in the pictures, we got half then stopped so she could rest. She was brushed out and had to be shaved in a couple of other smaller spots. Now she's mat-free!

Kate is a little bobble headed girl, and sometimes falls over due to a condition called ataxia. We believe she was born this way. She is absolutely precious and loves being held.  She is also deaf, and has cataracts.  Kate is very attached to her buddy Allie. These two must go together, they groom each other, sleep curled together, etc.

Here's the update from the foster mom, as of April 10 (see new picture of them sleeping together, too): They're both now having the run of the house 24/7.  Their relationship with food is interesting.  Both of them are the first to line up for breakfast and dinner.  When the bowls are put down, they take their places.  If another cat tries to wedge in, forget it!  Allie gives them a sharp hiss and they back off.  She's even hissed at Kate if Kate gets too close.  Kate, meanwhile, is just chowing down.  The other cats don't even try to eat until these two are finished.  Then Kate will wash up and lay down right next to the food bowl for a nap.  And with Kate's eating habits and the head bobble, there's food scattered all across the kitchen floor.
