This kitty was on death row but we got a foster home lined up and she was pulled from the kill room.
She is 10 years old and her owner could no longer afford to keep this beautiful pointed Persian. (the owner also gave up the tortie persian 10yrs old, her name is Kate).
Allie has conjuncitivitis (pinkeye) which has improved greatly since she was put on meds but due to her age, the vet says, her eye healing is taking longer. She is now on a 2nd type of eye ointment that is doing wonders for her eye inflammation.
Allie is extremely sweet and will "tap" you with her little foot to get more attention.
Allie and her buddy Kate have been together for 10 years, and they are truly bonded, so we want them to stay together. Kate is deaf and has cataracts and a head bobble, so she really depends on Allie. They groom each other and sleep curled up together. Both are extremely sweet and love being brushed.
Here's the update from the foster mom, as of April 10 (see new picture of them sleeping together, too): They're both now having the run of the house 24/7. Their relationship with food is interesting. Both of them are the first to line up for breakfast and dinner. When the bowls are put down, they take their places. If another cat tries to wedge in, forget it! Allie gives them a sharp hiss and they back off. She's even hissed at Kate if Kate gets too close. Kate, meanwhile, is just chowing down. The other cats don't even try to eat until these two are finished. Then Kate will wash up and lay down right next to the food bowl for a nap. And with Kate's eating habits and the head bobble, there's food scattered all across the kitchen floor.
