Description: Caitlyn and her kittens were stray and being fed by a nice lady. PAWS was called to take them in.
Caitlyn is very sweet and a little shy at first. She is fine with cats and other dogs. She's a low-key couch potato kitty. Loves attention, and just a great companion kitty. OK with you, OK on her own. She isn't clingy... until you get out the canned food :)
She did test positive for FIV ... which is not a big deal if the cat is healthy (she is) and won't spread if the cat is not aggressive (FIV is spread by mating and fighting, and since Caitlyn is fixed, and passive, this is not a concern).
FIV cannot be spread by sharing food, water, or litter. FIV is a FELINE disease, and cannot spread to dogs, humans, etc.
There is plenty of info on our site about FIV, check the main menu.
UPDATE: Caitlyn had to get a dental.... 2/14/19. .... Her dental is done! She had a few rotten teeth (the other teeth had already fallen out) so now she is toothless. This is not a big deal...if you've ever cleaned up kitty puke, you know they don't really chew all their food... And post-surgery, she recovered like a champ.
