Description: Hope and her litter (total of six) were at the county shelter for 3 weeks. They were treated for scabies (mange) the 2nd week they were there, then deworming and first shots were done the third week, & they were then posted for rescue help the 3rd week. Poor little guys had to sit with mange for that long before treatment (sigh). They are in good hands now, and we have them isolated and under daily surveillance, as their skin heals and we monitor them. The foster mom works from home so she checks them about six times a day from 8-5, and about that much after work, too.
We are treating them for worms and a slight sneeze, in addition to the scabies. Yes, they are little train wrecks but have great outgoing attitudes and are responding well!
These guys need 2 more treatments for scabies, you can see on some of the pictures of them, their legs and ears are scabby looking, that is the scabies ending, and the skin healing and pushing up from underneath.
We KNOW we will be inundated with applications for these guys. Please fill them out online under Adoption Info. With beautiful kittens like these, we will easily be overwhelmed with applications -- be prepared to WAIT while we review them all for the best possible home. Our foster moms work full time so we are not just sitting at the computer waiting for applications, we get to them after work AND after taking care of the fosters! Apps are reviewed on a first-come, first served basis. Thank you for your understanding.
