Description:
One of the vets we work with just called us....

This STUNNING purebred kitty has to be given up because her owners are elderly and the nice woman has such bad asthma from the kitty's fur that she can barely breathe. We were talking to her on the phone and she was literally panting between sentences, she said "it's the kitty or me"....

Cici is a dilute blue point, spayed, front declawed. She was born 4/9/09 and has papers. She has not been around other cats since she was purchased in june 2009, but with the ragdoll temperament she would likely adjust quickly. She sits in the husband's lap but for some reason sits "beside" her mom...maybe she knows too much fur is bad for her mom!

Cici has been spoiled like a little princess and they want her new home to be the same....lots of attention for this kitty!  The family giving up this nice girl has a special request - they want to meet or call the new family ... we will get better pictures as soon as Cici adjusts to the foster room, she is currently very stressed.

Her owners did say she does not like clippers. They kept her very well combed. The nice lady wrote a letter to the new parents who adopt Cici. She hopes to keep in touch with the new family.

Note: cici is EXTREMELY upset at losing her home but she is eating. She must be given time to build trust with her new family and needs a very quiet home. Since she is a declaw when she gets upset, she would most likely nip since she cannot scratch a warning.

UPDATE: Cici has settled in to the foster mom's guest bath, finally! She is eating and drinking, etc., and is no longer hissing at everyone who comes in to see her. She let us brush her a little bit too. This all took about a week. Luckily she has silky fur which isn't matting quickly - as we all know these kitties need daily combouts. We have not yet tried her with other cats. At this point we just need her to relax and let us groom her.
