Skit was left at the county shelter by her owners. The shelter workers were shaving her tummy to see if she was spayed, we guess, and they cut her badly with the clippers (the cat was awake).

Skit had to be rushed to a nearby vet clinic to have staples put in where she was cut so badly. She was very stressed as you can imagine and started sneezing so she was moved to the isolation area at the shelter.

Cats and dogs are only given 3 days in isolation before they are killed, so she was offered to rescue and we took her in. Her kitty cold was not bad and she got better very quickly.

She is extremely sweet and OK with other cats after a couple of days settling in. Skit does like her "space" and likes to be the queen of the castle, so to speak, so every once in awhile she'll give a good swat to some kitten who gets too close in the foster room! 

Skit would be fine in a home with a couple of cats. She does keep to herself and loves to interact with humans much more than other cats! She has not yet been around our dog, that's the next step.

Notes: we have no clue why someone would name this cat Skit - she's not skittish at all, she is very outgoing and friendly.

We got some excellent pictures, she has luminous golden eyes which are stunning against her white & grey coat. In one picture she was very tired of the "photo shoot" so was yawning big - you can see all those pearly white teeth of a young adult cat!! LOL - no dental issues here!!!
