This little girl came in to the county shelter as a stray, she is an itsy bitsy thing and loves to be held, purrs up a storm.
She's already had her first shot and been tested, dewormed, and got flea control. Whew!
We put her in with nursing mom Diana, who is already accepting her (see pictures). Since Britta is so much smaller than the other kittens around Diana, we moved her to a foster mom who will bottle feed her. She is now weaning (July 20) and can be taken as a "foster to adopt" at the end of July.
"foster to adopt" is where the kitten is too small to spay but we let the approved adopter go ahead and do the adoption paperwork and pay the fee, and we get her fixed later. That way Britta's new family will get to see her grow up.
