PAWS got a call on May 20, 2012 that two newborn kittens were in the bushes. No mom cat could be found, so we took the kittens. The following day another kitten was found in the driveway and mom was nearby, but didn't take the kitten. We picked up mom and the new baby and brought them home to be with the two others. Mom cat's tummy felt different so we rushed her to the vet and took any x-ray. There were two more kittens left to be born. One came normally, but the other was breach and stuck in the birth canal. That baby didn't make it. Poor mom cat was too young and didn't understand what was happening to her. After a few days, she got the jest of it, and became a super mom cat.
We have Bessie, the mom cat at about 8 months old, and we have three female orange kittens (most orange cats are male) and one boy. Two of the kittens are classic tabbies and the other two are mackeral tabbies (no swirls).
UPDATE: Brodie & Baylie have been adopted.
