This cutie was found on the beach starving and blind. At some point in her young life she must have developed a upper respiratory infection and it settled in her eyes. Whoever had her, just dumped her out to die. We immediately took her to the ophthalmologist and he believed at least one eye could be saved with two different eye drops six times a day. A Christmas miracle, both eyes now have vision with the eyes being the same size now. She was too small for surgery in January, so we will wait until February for her surgery to remove the remaining tissue that has adhered to the eyes for 100% vision and clarity. She will be available for adoption after that.
The below picture shows how nasty her eyes were when we rescued her. They are almost completely healed now!
