DOB approx: 4yrs 2006? DMH male solid white Turkish Angora Mix with pale green eyes. Nimbus is named after clouds. He is so beautiful. His eyes are such a pale shade of green that they almost look white. He has a good natured personality. He is very laid back and affectionate. He seems to tolerate the other cats here but will stand his ground when aproached by an aggresser. He was found wandering around and filthy in Melbourne by a citizen. They took him to the county shelter in case some one was looking for him. While in the shelter he was tested for feline aids and was found to be positive. His life was now in jeopardy, so PAWS resued him. The county shelter has a policy to put all FIV cats down even though the new studies show that it is not a big deal any more. He is not contagious and can live with nonpositive cats. It can only be passed along to other cats by mating (he is nuetered), or deep puncture wounds from a violent fight (he is docile). Please be sure to read our bulletin board, Helpful Information page, and check out the Cornell University site regarding this disease. You will find that it is no big deal and that you can mix positives and negatives as long as everyone is fixed and non-aggressive. He can live a long and healthy life with out any problems.
He and Sapphire share a foster room, and are great buddies. While it's not a requirement, it would be nice if it is at all possible to adopt them together. We will try to get some photos of them together posted soon.
