DOB appx March 2009, this nice guy was found on the street and is right around a year old per the vet. He's a short hair (DSH) black & white, very friendly, and hums in his throat to you! We couldn't leave him out there, we had to get him off the street. He is incredibly grateful for food! He's a little thin so we are glad to fatten him up.
He is so friendly it is really hard to take his picture because he's rubbing against your legs, so many of our pictures were blurry or only half a cat, because he's so excited to have someone to pay attention to him!!!
He had a little wound healing nicely per the vet. It's on his back foot which you can see in one of the pictures. He's completely vetted (all shots, fixed, tested, chipped...) and ready to roll! Nothing fazes this guy, not a hiss or a spit yet at anything, just purr purr purr!!!
We have George out and about with the other cats. A little hissing was to be expected but that's all he did. Very nice but gets along best with females. Males he tends to chase which we are working on, we're sure this is a side effect from being on the street.
We are sure he would do find with dogs, too, of course nice gentle dogs are the kind we want to send cats home with!!
George does have a little habit of "begging for food at the dinner table" and we are working on that. It is very clear he was allowed to eat from the table.
Also he is very playful, this guy is just an overgrown kitten, and what a sweetie. OK being held and wants to be your lapcat!!
He's very relaxed her now, see his centerfold picture!
NOTE: George is on a raw diet as of 5/3, and he loves it!!! We have just started feeding raw to a few fosters because it is easier for them to digest, George took to it right away. It is very easy to feed, already measured out in patties to thaw and serve twice a day. After they eat you wash the bowl and that's it, till the next feeding. So easy! And we priced it out at $1 a day for one full grown active cat, which truly isn't bad, you can spend that on canned food easily. They also poop less and drink less water because the meat contains alot of water as versus kibble which is all dehydrated.
