Description: Adoption Pending DOB appx 2008 or 2009. Purebred spayed female Persian. Blue Bell was found on University Blvd. in Melbourne and dropped off in a gate box at the shelter in Melbourne. She was severely matted and filthy. But that didn't get her spirits down. She was sure she was still the Bell of the Ball when I went to see her to pick her up. She was just as prissy and sweet as if she has just been primped for a show.
Unfortunately she had to be shaved ( see picture) to get rid of the mats of knots. She is not too happy about that. She was proud of that coat even if it was knotted. Goodness, who knows how long she had been out there in the stickers and briars before someone picked her up.
She does have a very peke face wich causes runny eyes and nose (overflowing tear ducts). Her button nose is so cute though. She does snort quite a bit. The shelter did start her on some antibiotics just to make sure she didn't have a cold that was causing her snorty breathing. She does love attention but is a little sensitive about being groomed or picked up right now, can you blame her? She has adjusted to her room mate Li'l Bit. I will try to intergrate her into a larger group of cats soon to see how she does. Not sure about her reaction to dogs yet.
