Description: DOB appx 7/10/09, DSH black classic tabby and white polydactyl (front and back extra toes) and manx (no tail) male kitten. He is the only kitten in the litter who is a "double poly" meaning he has extra toes on front and back, not just the front.
This little boy has bowlegs in the front, we think it is Radial Hypoplasia (RH). You can see it in the picture. These kittens are just starting to walk so he is learning about his special legs now. He is the only one in the litter who has RH.
We had his front legs xrayed and the front ankles are missing some of the soft tissue. This is not RH because the bones are normal. So the vet is not going to speculate about his ankles going forward, as this is a birth defect and there is no way to predict.
Great news though - on 8/26 we noticed his left front leg is straighening up. We are doing t-touch. The right leg has started to straighten. You can see how much straighter his legs are in the picture where he is older.
Cowboy has a kitty cold so he and Widget are hanging out together..she has one too!
What a cutie! Sibling to Louie, Lexi, Cody (adopted), Lollipop (adopted), Levi (adopted).
