DOB appx December 2008, DMH (medium hair) Maine coon mix female. We have to call her a mix because we have no papers but, oh boy is she pretty darn close to the real thing. What you look for with MCs is the "simba" nose, the round eyes (not slanted or oval), the outgoing nature, loves to be held, medium fur, and a tail with lots of fur so it "plumes" when they wave it around.  She sure has that, check out the picture where she is waving her tail around about 10 minutes after she got here!!!

We pulled her from the county shelter where she has been since February! I cannot believe no one adopted her. Anyway she grew up in a cage but that didn't stop her from walking right out of the carrier 5 minutes after we got her here, and walking around to check things out.

As you see in the pictures, she is sniffing things and walking the perimeter. She's not growling or anything, just the friendliest girl. She was given up because the owners could not afford to keep her. She had been given to them from a friend as a young kitten.

Charmaine has been around dogs, other cats, children. We think she will be about a medium sized cat (7 pounds) when she is grown. She weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces when she was spayed 8/11/09.
