Benson is a tame, friendly cat who wandered up to a feral cat colony for something to eat. He had no microchip and we could tell he had been outside awhile. We got him fixed, tested, vaccinated, and he is ready to go.
Benson definitely belonged to someone before - when you pick him up he turns toward you and puts his paws around your neck plus starts licking your chin. He is very sweet.
However probably due to his time on the street, he is defensive around other animals. So we have him set as a "no" with cats and dogs. He may mellow a bit since he was fixed, time will tell. His foster family is taking his introductions to other cats and the gentle dog very slowly.
