Description: We were contacted by the Brevard Humane Society on Cox Rd. to take this kitten, or else they would put him to sleep. Vance's mom and 4 siblings tested negative but he tested positive for Feline Leukemia. 50% of the time they turn negative when their immune system kicks in, so we will be re-testing little Vance!! Meanwhile he is fostered alone.
PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).
Here is why -- this is the best article we have found to explain: http://meowcatrescue.org/resources/articles/12/single-kitten-syndrome/
If you are interested in adopting, please go to www.pawsfla.com and click on the Adoption Policy menu, from there you will find the online application link.
The adoption process typically goes as follows: - you submit an application - foster mom reviews, and will contact you by email - upon approval, foster mom will coordinate an adoption location/time.... or your deposit to hold young kittens - foster mom will email, call or text to coach as needed to help integrate your new kitty
