DOB appx 2005, DMH grey tux with white on his nose. What a great big tomcat he is! Monty was picked up by Animal Control in Melbourne, and his time was up at the shelter, especially since he is FIV+. The government has no time to educate the public about FIV (which is truly not such a big deal), so they just kill these cats. They agreed to let PAWS have this nice boy.

Also PAWS just found out that 16% of the FIV tests are FALSE POSTIVES. Hah. So there is a chance this guy isn't positive at all. The way to tell is very expensive, and PAWS knows that it's not a big issue anyway as long as the cat is healthy, so we won't even worry about it. Monty is very sweet. These pix were taken the day he was neutered, vaccinated, and released from Eau Gallie shelter and brought to PAWS. See how relaxed he is after all that!

He has several areas on his skin that attest to him living on the street (scratches, etc) and his cheeks are still big in the pictures, they will go down in about 6 weeks when the testosterone levels decrease due to his neuter.
