Macaroni didn't have a mom so the county shelter put her (and her 3 siblings) onto Marigold, who only had one kitten of her own (Marshmallow).
Macaroni and her 3 siblings were over 10 days younger than the kitten Marshmallow! So Marshmallow, being bigger, was taking most of the space at the "eatery" and most of the "eats"....so our foster mom had to separate her every day so Macaroni and her sibs could get enough.
As soon as Marshmallow got old enough to start weaning, we moved her to a bottle feeder, where she is hanging out with bottle baby Lincoln (he was found alone on the road)!!!
So, momcat Marigold, her baby Marshmallow, and her "new babies" Moose, Moon Pie, Morty, and Macaroni, were all pulled from the county shelter.
Macaroni ...and her sibling Moose....have no tails (oddly enough neither does momcat!!)
(Macaroni's siblings Moon Pie and Morty have full tails).
So...summary:
Marigold - momcat - no tail
Marshmallow - baby of Marigold - no tail
Moose - no tail
Macaroni - no tail
Moon Pie - has a tail
Morty - has a tail
Whew, a blended family...almost like the Brady Bunch!! LOL
More pix to come....
