Description:
This little gal was found by the side of the road where her momcat was killed, and she has been bottle fed since she was a couple days old! Sweetie!!
Emmie is a cream and blue classic tabby. She looks like a dilute tortie in the photo ... check out her videos and you can see her tabby stripes from the side! Emmie grew slowly & was VERY SMALL for her age... She was steadily gaining weight though... and is now weaned from the bottle!
As of March 15 we started getting her interested in some canned food to teach her to chew...some of them start gumming food at this point...but she's not interested yet! (yes, we know this is too early to fully wean her! Weaning too early is a common mistake; folks see the kittens "checking out" the food and figure they don't need momcat or a bottle anymore...not true....)
As you see in the video, she is "talking" a lot -- this was really the only time she was very vocal. She is typically a quiet girl.
Emmie has been to the vet for a full exam and was tested neg/neg for Feline Leukemia and FIV. She's been dewormed.
Update as of 4/23/19: Emmie had a growth spurt and is almost at 2 pounds (she is 10 weeks old). We plan to let her put on another pound before spaying, then adopting her out. She has been around adult cats and 3 small dogs.
PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 yrs or so).
