Description:
This little guy was born to a stray momcat and his litter was trapped and he was going to be returned, but his foster mom noticed he showed promise of taming up. We have worked hard with him - see his video.
He went from a crate to a bathroom because he needed to be introduced to the world of "living indoors" and in the photo he is with an older cat Misty who is extremely friendly and thus a good role model.
Then he was moved to another bathroom, and was socialized more and introduced to the house, including noise from the TV, people coming and going, dogs, furniture, appliances, toilets flushing, the works. We can pick him up now, at first he wanted to get away, but now he is doing better.
The best thing for his new home is an already-socialized cat or kitten as a role model. See his video, he is confident and almost fearless (tail straight up in the air = confidence).
Shoney is a stunning Maine Coon mix so we are hopeful he will find his furrever home soon!
PAWS adopts out kittens in pairs, or adopts to a home with another young kitty (3 years old, or so).
