Description:DOB appx 8/1/06, DSH cream and blue tuxedo, spayed female. Tabbie was adopted out as a kitten in 2006 and was returned, due to allergies. She has been around a large gentle dog. Tabbie is very upset over losing her home, so we had to confine her to a bathroom in foster care. The adult picture of her is the day she was returned, she is hiding in the litterpan, poor thing.
Tabbie found a home but the dogs who live there are terrified of her, so it is not working out. The nice owner agreed to foster her since she does best in a home with no other cats.
We asked her foster mom (owner) what Tabbie is like when there are no other cats around. Here is what she said:
Tabbie is sweet, affectionate, and cuddly. Although she is about 2 years old, her fur is still soft as a kitten's.
Tabbie acts like a little puppy. She runs to greet us at the door
when we come home. Then she does the "plop, drop, and roll" routine and
begs for a tummy rub.
Tabbie loves to cuddle and sleep next to you. I love the way her
little "motor" runs when she's happy. She's very calm and gentle. She
adores her scratchy post that's shaped like a circle with a lit-up ball
that rolls around the outside. We turn that over at night so she knows
it's time to come cuddle up and sleep.
She is very good with children.
Sadly, my dogs can't adapt to her because they had a bad experience with a mean cat. But Tabbie gave them a fair chance and is OK with other
dogs.
Lately, the ladies at Petsmart says she growls and hisses when
they try to take her out of the cage. She doesn't do that for me
though, and she never does that at home--so it must be that she's just
scared.
