Description: DOB appx Jan 2006, DSH brown mackeral tabby and white neutered male. This cat is FELINE LEUKEMIA POSITIVE. He is also handicapped on the front legs, he has Radial Hypoplasia.
Due to his Feline Leukemia he must be in a home alone or with other cats who are also positive for Feline Leukemia.
Roo is very sweet and was pulled from the county shelter where they were going to kill him immediately due to his front legs being deformed. When you are holding him he wraps his little legs around your shoulder and presses his face into your chin.
We also call him "Roo-Rex" because he looks like a Kangaroo and a T-rex!
PAWS is no-kill so we grabbed him because he is so sweet. He needs a home instead of a shelter environment because cats with Feline Leukemia live MUCH longer in private homes, on average an additional 8 years.
In a shelter he will live (based on past average), 1 year. In a private home cats with Feline Leukemia live 8-10 years.
